Can I tell you a little of Andrea Salinas’s story?

Next year is going to be a big year here in Oregon. We're electing a new Governor, filling two open seats in Congress, choosing legislators who will represent redrawn districts for the first time in a decade, and much more.
Out of all that, one of our biggest opportunities is to elect a committed progressive champion to Congress — my colleague and friend, Andrea Salinas.
Can I tell you a little of Andrea's story?
Her father was a child farmworker in Texas who grew up and enlisted in the Army and went to Vietnam in hope of building a better future for himself and his family. Andrea's parents couldn't afford to send her to college, so she juggled multiple jobs to pay for school.
And now, just one generation later, that child farmworker's daughter is going to serve our country in the United States Congress.
She'll get there because we're going to help her get there. I'm Team Andrea all the way — and I hope you'll join me by making a donation before the end of the year.
As a professional firefighter, I know what it means to have the confidence and determination to run into a burning building, or face down a raging wildfire. I know the meaning of courage.
Courage also means standing up for what's right, against powerful special interests determined to take what they want, no matter who it hurts. I've seen Andrea Salinas display exactly that kind of courage in the legislature, again and again and again.
Join me on Team Andrea. Let's get this done. You'll be proud you did. Donate now!
